7. AGED CARE

* Aged Care is an area within the Diocese which requires attention. This department will be responsible for implementing a program where:

  - the young can serve the old… those who have given so
  much to the community, it’s our time to give back…
  - young adults can visit the elderly when they get sick
  - take the elderly on outings
  - arrange activities for the elderly
  - buy their groceries
  - take them to the doctors or other appointments
  - take them to church
  - arrange large functions for them several times a year
  to recognize their achievements throughout their lives
  - organize clubs for elderly at local parish level

* This department will also be instrumental in the expansion of the Coptic Hostel and the services it provides. With the aim to expand the Hostel to an 86 bed facility with a nursing home function to care for the family unit in the event of one spouse falling ill.
