15. ARCHIVES & YEAR BOOK

- The growth and progression of the Coptic Orthodox church Diocese of
  Melbourne is monumental and requires careful and accurate archiving in
  order to preserve our history. Including historical documents, photos,
  videos and overall records.
- The department is to undertake the task of systematically evaluating,
organizing and classifying files, dating back to 1960’s.
- The department is responsible for recording the history, progress and
growth of the Diocese and its institutions
- The primary concern of this department is to preserve and restore
historical documents, photos and footage to prevent them from decay.
- Some of the categories of interest for this department include the recording of:
  - historical development of key institutions and groups within the Diocese
  - The structure and re-organization of the Diocese
  - The recording of all clergy within the hierarchy of the Diocese
  - The progress of the contribution of Ecumenical work of the Diocese

* Annual Year Book
  - The objective is to record annual diocese achievements, news, events,
financial status, progression into an Annual Year Book which is
distributed throughout the diocese and beyond.
