1. ECUMENICAL AFFAIRS & INTERFAITH RELATIONS

The main function of the Ecumenical Affairs and Interfaith Relations department is to
provide information, stimulating interest and coordinating ecumenical activities at
diocese and parish levels. Adhering to the principle that Orthodoxy must always
speak the truth, never compromise the integrity and purity of Orthodox teachings
but always respecting the sincerity of the religious convictions and spiritual
sensitivities of others.

The Coptic Orthodox Church is to be represented by clergy and laity

World Council of Churches
To be aware of the work of the WCC

Fraternal Visitations
The Ecumenical department coordinates visitations of various dignitaries, heads of
churches, and Ecumenical guests to the diocese

Inter-Religious Agencies
Ongoing relations with other groups involved in ecumenical work

Oriental & Eastern Orthodox Churches & Organisation
Develop a stronger ties with Oriental & Eastern Orthodox Churches
