This department deals with issues relating to Marriage and Families and to
consider issues relevant to the well-being of family life, our Church and
society. With a strong focus on:
- Inter-Christian / Cross-Cultural marriages
- Family Therapy Counseling
- Developing an ongoing daily family Bible Study curriculum
- Family Conventions – with a focus on what it means to be an Orthodox
family and the role of the family in the church
- Communication within the family unit
- Cater for and protect the family unit
- Family Workshop programs
- Monthly family gathering
- Parenting seminars
- Develop a program for the COPTIC ORTHODOX YEAR OF THE
FAMILY (perhaps) 2007 / 2008.
- The goal of the YEAR OF THE FAMILY is to a affirm the importance
of the family as a blessed gift from God and to address the specific
needs of families as they try to live in a very challenging culture and world.
- For example The theme of the YEAR OF THE FAMILY may rotate
around “FAMILY AS CHURCH”.
